Buying souvenirs from holiday is a waste

i found a bunch of souvenirs left in my house

those are the souvenirs I bought while travelling to other countries

there's always friends who requested souvenirs (maybe just for fun)

finding souvenirs is wasting of time, brain juices, money and space

basically, I didn't think about souvenirs before my trip

i will only remember them when i pass by any souvenirs store

then only i started to count on number of friends to give too

as always, there will be someone i missed out...

after i got the number i need to think whether do they like this

and i always think that they might like them as i like them too

i have to think for every group of friends as everybody has different taste

obviously that's not how it go 

bought lots of souvenirs back to home country

will bring them out and give them away when we meet

always forget to bring them along and after some time away

the holiday mood wasn't there anymore and they're forgotten

at the end of the souvenirs

they're hiding at the corner in my house 

will only remember them again when housecleaning

whose souvenirs are these again? 

i'm sorry to say that

from now on, i'm not going to buy any souvenirs for friends

i will start to do things a bit traditional now

i'm going after postcard, learnt from friend who travelled to japan together

actually, i don't have the habit on writing postcard 

well, i think it's not bad that i just write something random and send them to you

the place i'm visiting might bring me something that reminds me of you

and reading my handwriting could be memorable too

send me your postal address now (not email address)

Money saving

(Blog revived... trying to write a short one)

Suddenly something came into my mind about money saving. 

I guess it's normal that people around my age (25 ish) in my country, Malaysia start saving once they started to work.

Maybe it's only applicable to my friends. 

Why do we save money? Mainly is for property buying.

Some of my friends save around 30% of their salary (so do i). 

20% plus already gone for utilities (no running away usage)

I have been wondering how am I going to survive with less than 50% of my salary. 

Anyway, it's possible and it's been 2 years (there's some hidden sponsors)

These aren't my point for this. 

My main point is that we need to save more money for short term spending e.g. vacations.

I never save money for short term until I decided to go to the very expensive country, Japan. 

I was quite struggling for few months to save the money... (luckily accident happened)

+ some of my friends couldn't attend some sudden decided vacation due to lack of money

it's pretty sad to hear it

If it's financially allowed

it is always better to keep a bit of extra money for this purpose

Maybe this is for me only as I like vacation a lot

it's suffering to hold yourself from doing what you like when going vacation

Spend less on hmmmm... alcohol? (kinda tough too) save more for holidayssssss

2012 Checklist!!! 2013 Resolution :D

As the title of last year new year resolution post
There's no hair revolution this year but it's not the end
New hairstyle will be coming soon
and I'm gonna blow the world once again XD

New Year Resolution 2012

✔ Graduate with first class honor
Finally I've graduated (After 3.5 years of study + 1 years in Engineering)
First class honor in Bachelor in Computer Science with CGPA 3.9 wakakakaka

✔ Get a job that i like and can make a lot of money
Got a job and started to work right after finished study (in March). Didn't get any time to rest.
Well... the amount didn't reach 4k (but close enough), didn't know I'd expected that much last year... RM4k++

Glad that working in this company, Quintiq, been given a lot of opportunities, doing great (although there's quite a lot of job sometimes, but it's normal), hope that I can last long here (Not like some friends of mine, switching company after a year+ working in a company)

✖ Get a real muscular body
Well.... been working out (almost every weekdays) after work, body is getting better (no longer flat), but not yet muscular...
Been eating healthier this year

✖ Get scholarship for master degree
I was so dump... how am I going to study while I wanna get a job and make a lot of money.
It's totally contradict with resolution no.2. 
Hope that I still can continue study, I'm a doctor wannabe :P

✔ Improvement in dancing, now i'll go for latin... too old for street dance :cry:
Not as planned, since been busying working, not much time to do other stuff.
Everywhere is in traffic jam after I've finished my work.
But!!! I'm joining dancing class in gym. At least get a chance to practice.
It's more like street dance and girl style, not really what I want, but there's the most I can have now.

✖  Search for hidden talent, going to divert my career if possible
No hidden talent found, maybe there's none in me T_T

✔ Must get the path already, no choice for this...
Path... should be continue working on what I'm doing now, not till what I wanna do now, but my company is giving me chance and training to work on algorithm related thingy. 

Other accomplishments + events:
1. Being smart by getting iPhone4S

2. Grandmother passed away on April 24th
It's been sad to us and I'm still missing her.

3. Presented in another conference. My resume is becoming prettier...

4. Travelled to Taiwan with family (Last minute)
Due to my sister decided to study in Taiwan for baking short course.
We decided to visit her + travelled around while she's there

5. Travelled to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam (again after 10 years) with friends.
That was the 1st time i travelled oversea with friends.
It was fun, wanna do that again.

6. Since I started to make my own money, my spending power increased a lot. Did the most shopping of my life this year. Bunch of pants... yellow, green, purple, red, blue jeans..., 2 watches, etc etc...

7. Been FFK (last minute pulled out) a lot this year... almost never before year 2012...

8. hmmmmm.... nothing else??? OMG... working life... is always this boring... ●▛▜▃ (Less party throughout the year) But I'm moving forward. One step closer (to perfect LOL).

Actually... the new year resolutions I had sounds more like some "MUST DO" throughout the year... I didn't really check on what have I done in order to accomplished them. (I didn't work hard on them)



New year resolution 2013:
◻ Still wanna get a muscular body
◻ Make more money (increment + promotion)
◻ Travel to western country or maybe Hong Kong
◻ Get a tattoo, been wanting it for quite some time
◻ Spend less and save more for some big plan (less shopping)
◻ Improvement in Japanese i.e. continue Japanese study
◻ Be in relationship ( I'm lonely and despo >.< )
✖ Master study? To be postponed, no plan yet, need to research
✖ Not going for hidden talent anymore, they'll appear at the right time.

Hmmmm......
Should be enough... so that I can complete one every 2 months...
Hope 2013 will be a better year
